In Tallahassee, the breakfast crowd peaks on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so a weekday visit or an early arrival avoids the line. Across Florida, regional staples show up on the menu: biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles in the South, breakfast tacos and burritos in Texas and the Southwest, green chile in New Mexico, and Hawaiian plate breakfasts in the islands. Check the listing for hours, whether the restaurant takes reservations and its Google rating and reviews, and note that many diners are cash-friendly but nearly all take cards. Counter seating usually moves faster than a table for one or two.

Tallahassee is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tallahassee follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Flying Biscuit was fantastic! The grits were incredibly creamy and delicious—honestly, the best I’ve ever had. The menu had so many unique and tempting choices that it was hard to decide what to order. Our waitress, J, was incredibly attentive and made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and definitely a place I’d come back to!

I am coming on here to praise this new business. The food, environment, and service was all great. It was mid week so it wasn’t packed whatsoever, but the service we received from Jay told us it didn’t matter when, but that we would be taken care of. Jay was so awesome, sweet, and attentive and was able to give us suggestions along the way. My friend and I ordered a good portion of food with sides and all and it was under $30 for each of us WITH drinks. Great place, it’s a must try!!

The food here is absolutely amazing! Grits are perfectly cheesy mixed with quality cheese. The collard greens have the best kick of spice. The biscuits are the best I have ever had...soft, flacky...basically falling apart in your hands. They serve both cafe drinks and alcohol. So worth the visit!

Ordering to go at this restaurant sucks they overlook anyone that’s ordering to go. I’m standing in the correct place for a the to go orders I walk in. It’s only two customers in eating. I’m the third customer. Nobody acknowledge me or greeted me or anything. The only person that acknowledge me or ask what I was getting was the cook from the kitchen because he walked out to get something to drink. The owner was sitting in the back just on his phone. I observed him the whole 20mins of standing no assistance . They only had one waitress, but she could have stopped to help me. She had already sat her two customers at this point I’m still waiting another couple walks in behind me now the owner gets up to assist those customers & the waitress as well while I’m still standing at the bar trying to order to go. This is not the first time I’ve been overlooked. I go on my lunch break sometimes here & it’s still the same reaction. This is why I rarely come in here Customer service sucks they pick and choose who they want to help. That was unacceptable with the store just opening it’s only 7:25am & it’s only 3 customers inside.
